The reason for this beautiful scene is actually really sad. This budgie is Pino, who lived with my friend RiverRaven (https://www.deviantart.com/riverraven) died on Sunday 19th of July, 2015, at an age of just four years.

He became sick all of a sudden and despite the quick veterinary help, it was too late and he couldn’t make it. Pino was the noble and friendly leader of a group of three other budgies (Sari, his son Levi and King George) and a cockatiel named Sjorsje. The group of three budgies was often in a kind of disharmony with one (King George) stalking another (Sari) who didn’t like that at all. And then there was this little rascal (Levi) who was making fun of everything. However, when Pino moved in, he brought more peace among then all and he also made good contact with the cockatiel, who was ignored by the other three.
Such a lovely budgie like Pino deserved a drawing like this.
