*Heavy drizzle*

Henry: "I'm a fool... I should have listened to everyone... It doesn't matter if the rain ruins my paint, the dirt will... And this tunnel will be my grave if I don't find a way out."


Needless to say, this episode of "Thomas & Friends" (E3 S1) was shocking. Henry chose to hide under a tunnel, refusing to come out for fear of the rain ruining its beautiful green paint with red stripes. As a result, due to his bad behavior, Sir Topham Hatt locked Henry in that tunnel for a long time.

Undoubtedly, children's series from the '80s weren't exactly averse to meting out harsh punishments to those who deserved them. Of course, all was not lost, as one day Gordon suffered a breakdown during his express journey. Henry was rescued from the tunnel at Sir Topham Hatt's request to complete Gordon's journey with Edward's help, and thus Henry learned a great lesson.
