Inktober 2025 moves into the Halloween season with one of my more ominous entries: Inferno.
It shouldn't be a surprise that one of my earliest inspirations as an artist was Walt Disney's magnum opus Fantasia. The Night on Bald Mountain segment did indeed have a profound impact on me; as well as other segments like Rite of Spring and the Pastoral Symphony.
Halloween is as good a time as any to pay homage to the Night on Bald Mountain segment. (Disney Halloween specials of the past usually included it.) But in doing so for the prompt Inferno; I added my own touch to it.
During the sequence where the dark god Chernabog (sometimes referred to as Satan himself) grabs a handful of fire, beautiful ladies emerge dancing as fiery sprites.
Instead of non distinct figures I took three of my own characters as the dancing figures.
From left to right: Mai Ling, Tess Morblung and Lady Malmsteen.
Their bodies are also more defined in the fire without being too explicit. Though even as a dancing flame, Lady Malmsteen is carrying quite a bit of cake.
My previous entry with the Kanker Sisters should've been a foreshadowing of some more darker entries to come as we near Halloween. It wouldn't be unusual at all for the music of Night on Bald Mountain to be playing when they show up on the col-de-sac in Ed Edd N' Eddy to wreck havoc.

Seeing the sexy bat queen like that, there's one more thing that's on fire: my heart from sheer brilliant love for the Lady in another fantastic artwork. Tess and Mai Ling know how to make themselves hot n' sexy for their respective admirers, as well. And yes, the Lady has some very nice cake, but everything that is her is desirable, foremost being that heart of hers, forever and ever. <3
