There once was a man made of the forest.
There once was a man made of leaves.
His roots dug deep and his bark was sharp
And his voice was as hollow as the breeze.
He lumbered and walked
He grumbled and gawked
His branches moaned in the night.
There once was a girl made of moonlight
There once was a girl made of dreams
Her light shone and her dance was grace
And her voice was as light as her beams.
She twirled and bowed
She sang out loud
Her light dawned in the sky.
The man drug his roots through the forest
The man tore down the leaves
The man groaned as the winter began to freeze
The girl lifted the wind through the moonlight
The girl illuminated the frost on his leaves
The man sang as the winter chill began to seize
His gaze lifted towards the sky
Her smile radiated on his bark
His wood began to crease
As a smile cracked
And the girl began to believe
There once was a man made of leaves.
His roots dug deep and his bark was sharp
And his voice was as hollow as the breeze.
He lumbered and walked
He grumbled and gawked
His branches moaned in the night.
There once was a girl made of moonlight
There once was a girl made of dreams
Her light shone and her dance was grace
And her voice was as light as her beams.
She twirled and bowed
She sang out loud
Her light dawned in the sky.
The man drug his roots through the forest
The man tore down the leaves
The man groaned as the winter began to freeze
The girl lifted the wind through the moonlight
The girl illuminated the frost on his leaves
The man sang as the winter chill began to seize
His gaze lifted towards the sky
Her smile radiated on his bark
His wood began to crease
As a smile cracked
And the girl began to believe
