In the wake of the Vaedi empirical collapse, the land of Somar diligently strives for former decadence. In great contrast to it's northern neighbours, the people of Somar are obsessed with superficiality, indulgences, rites, and hierarchy. Unlike the Akuvy, the Somar people are still Vavmahy in nature, and thus their fur shortens and falls out with modest prolonged heat. While this helps with keeping cool, the inhabitants of this subtropical land can't help but look upon their northern kin with great envy. Petty grievances aside, this region is the most fertile in all of Aeoda with meandering rivers depositing fluvisol with each regular seasonal flood upon the savanna. The Somar people are used to times of great abundance and take every chance to gloat about their fortune through their inflated Vaedi glory.
