Always double check to see if the electronics you're working on are unplugged, if not... well ya might get a SHOCK!. (Based on something silly I did whilst working on a old Sony machine a few years back).

Come now, that's just a piece of tech, not even half mains voltage. Dine on 120 volt with the rest of us completely unqualified DIY-ers.
A couple shocks won't hurt you that bad, you'll just get super jittery and feel faint for a few hours.
When was the last time I had my wife hovering over the button to call an ambulance because I thought I could replace an electrical outlet? Uh, no comment.
(For legal reasons, I must now state that you should NOT, under any circumstances, attempt to replace any wiring in your house without the main breaker flipped open (off) and proper supervision from a qualified professional.)
