Aaron is settling in at a magical lodge, the sort where the host invites you to 'stay as long as you like' and then transforms people to ensure they take him up on that offer.
But his room comes with a nice little clock, a strange device that knows his age and wants to be wound back. Each turn of the clock grants him a wish about his new life, but there's only so many years to spend.

A small piece from a larger theme collection I've been poking at over time. Still trying to get back into a proper writing state of mind, good emotions and headspace, but this one certainly helped. Sometimes you just need to write a cozy, cheerful sort of change, ya know?

I think the plan going forward is to try and get back on head meds, because while I've survived without them, there's definitely a level of inconsistency about it all. Some days are just a wash, and while I don't have blackout seizures anymore, it's still a 'lie on the floor twitching in a bad mental state' sort of affair. Always unfun to have one of those pop up and be like 'hello did you remember your brain is bad?'

So, saving up money for doctoring and prescriptions. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I'd like to be consistently functional, at the very least.

Perchance I've been sitting on page 3 of the chapter for a month now. It's an awkwardly paced sort of chapter where the party splits and goes on two narratives, the sort of thing that would probably make more sense in a video game than a book. Need to just smash it out and make it work, even if it's weird.
