Just bit of practice drawing more toonish bodies and then inking and coloring in SAI. I like the look of SAI but ugh it takes so much longer to color. Even dropping just the base colors on this took me about 45 minutes. :P I dunno.

Mr. K, sir, I must inform you of something.
You have a unique, identifiable style.
Before I even fully focused my eyes on the thumbnail on my page of FA submissions for the day, I caught your happy fox in the corner of my eye. The basic shape, pose and colors told me "Kooky!" before I even saw your name underneath it.
If my brain can tell your work from that of everyone else then you have achieved a level of recognition that should be applauded.
Now, I'd say happy fox here is classic 'Kooky'. The slight hint of action in the pose is better than the static poses required of the less talented and gives the impression of a desire to make the piece interesting without getting overly complicated. After all, you said this was practice. Even in practice, you are showing some of what you are capable of.
My favorite strength of yours is expression. You make the happiest foxes I've ever seen. You do well at other expressions, too. But happiness seems to suit you best. I think that speaks well of you as a person, but that's beside the point.
I like your simple yet subtle approach to color and shading. It looks a bit flat until you actually stare at the picture, then you can tell that some serious work went into lighting the todd.
All in all, you make art that makes me want to look at it and makes me happy when I do.
And that's why I watch you. =)
Carry on.

Waaaaaah I dunno what to say to all that. ^.^ Though I'd respectfully disagree with some of your statements, still it's a nice confidence boost that I so often need. I do like drawing 'happy' characters because it makes people smile and feel good though I really should learn some other ones one of these days. :P Though thanks for the really nice comments!!
