This being sci fi rather than fantasy, I imagine she has a bit rougher appearance than that shown and does not have the clothing and jewelry she is depicted with. These images show her cleaned up and dressed in more than a loincloth...

Another solid entry!
I like Rex. Despite his flaws, the guy's got a strong moral compass. Looks like Rey'na and Rex have a good relationship forming.
Also, for some strange reason, whenever the U'naid spoke, I heard the voice of Zathrax from Babylon 5 in my head. The whole station gives me a sort of Babylon 5 meets The Expanse feel.

Really very good. Even the scene jumps were not jarring. I have to say, this is something that already struck me at the previous chapter, but I'm getting quite a Chanur vibe from this story (which is a five-book sci-fi series by C J Shelley in case you or anyone else was wondering). Really good, really good indeed *chuckles* And I do really like the different speech patterns, and I most certainly know how much of a pain in the patootie those are to keep consistent!
You are the second to suggest the connecting vibe. I went and read it, as I had always wanted to and never did and was struck by how many similarities there are! Thankfully, the world I am describing is quite a bit different, though Artavus Station definitely gives off that "anarchy" sense of the Chanur stories. The challenge, I think, is going to be taking this story to a natural ending point without ignoring the greater implications of an intelligent Fline who has escaped her homeworld - and what that means for the galaxy at large.
I could answer those questions, but it would give away future plot points. For once, I have a long-term goal and am actually feeding foreshadowing elements into the story. That you are talking about them means that the story is doing what I wanted it to do, so thank you!!
