One day, I felt a strong urge to get some fan art of Whopper from Pound Puppies. I searched for an artist who could draw his style best, but couldn’t find any that were open. Eventually, I couldn’t wait any longer and drew the idea I had. I personally like how it came out (of course I’m aware my art is still pretty arse, advice on how to improve is welcome), though I will still likely commission a more talented artist to redraw this someday.

Whopper is one of my all time favorite diaper clad cartoon characters. It’s never really stated if he even uses the diaper he wears, though he did confirm it in one episode that it is in fact a diaper. I can’t tell you how sad I was when I heard the 2010 version didn’t have him in it. We can only hope that somehow this forgotten character is revisited someday, though unfortunately it would likely be accompanied by gross humor, which has unfortunately become the norm with diapered characters in media nowadays.

This is based on the episode “Dog and Caterpillar” where Whopper befriended a caterpillar he meets in the pound. In this revision of the said episode, however, the caterpillar’s first impression of the puppy is his very soft side :P

Visual Description:

He happily says “Oh Hi! I didn’t see you there”. The Background is a tall brick wall surrounding the pound with a blue sky in the background and several leaves of plants are behind Whopper as well.
