Dear Journal,

Yesterday…wow…yesterday was just…wow.

There was really only one option for me to side with…but…I needed to make sure. So…I visited Mr. Mayer and-

…

I told him the truth.

Everything, my fears, my worries, and he…understood.

I think. I couldn’t really tell with all the fur over his face… but the point is, I told him that I need happiness again. That…I wanted to let go of all the other bullshit…

And then he gave me a choice: if I joined him in November, he would help me. Help me shed it off. I could be happy…

And he promised to me that no matter what happened, I would be ok.

I would be safe.

I would be loved.

…

Mr. Mayer’s paws were soft that day.

…

I like soft.

(Outside knocking) In a minute!

I gotta go. Don’t want to be late for orientation!
