She used to be an ordinary girl living an ordinary life. She had always loved adventure, sports, and action movies, but she never imagined she would one day become the protagonist of a story of them. She discovered her powers at the age of fourteen during a summer camp. That night, driven by her curiosity and adventurous spirit, she decided to venture alone into the forest. She claimed to have seen a neon flower deep within—a legendary stem said to possess unmatched magical and medicinal properties. Determined, she pushed forward between the trees, unaware of the evil lurking nearby. "It was like seeing a dark rainbow," Avery said. "It radiated a faint aura, made of colors I had never seen before… until it attacked me." It was the Void.

Before she could reach the flower, something invisible struck her and tore it away. For the first time in her life, Avery felt fear. Darkness surrounded her, hunted her; she felt eyes watching her from every corner of the forest. Yet instead of running, she stood her ground. Then it happened: a light began to pour from her body—golden and searing—as if the sun itself had been born within her. The entire forest lit up as though it were daylight. The Void recoiled, wounded by the radiation, and vanished into the shadows. That night, Captain Avery was born, along with her powers of light.

From then on, her abilities began to manifest spontaneously and uncontrollably. It wasn’t until she was seventeen that an incident at her university, during a training session, revealed her existence to the world—Avery began to glow in front of everyone. The organization A.U.R.O.R.A., which had already been watching her from the shadows, acted immediately.

A.U.R.O.R.A.—Armed Units, Reinforcement, Operations and Research of Artifacts—offered her a deal: training to master her powers, complete protection, and security for her and her family, in exchange for her cooperation in the fight against the evil known as the Void. For Avery, it was a dream come true, like stepping into the pages of a comic book. Though she worried about the weight such responsibility would place on herself and her parents, she accepted with determination, showing a maturity far beyond her years.

It was there that she met Professor Aura, a warm and brilliant wolf who quickly became a maternal figure to her. Aura was not only the creator of the Neon Force Project, but also—secretly—the true first chosen by the Neon Force. When she saw Avery, she saw her own past reflected back at her.

"Don’t worry," she told her. "I awakened my powers at your age too—it’s normal. Back then, we didn’t have the help we have today. I dedicated my entire life to studying my abilities and the Neon Force itself. It makes me happy to know there’s someone else with this gift—someone like me. Let me teach you how to master them. Trust me."

From that moment on, Avery began working actively alongside A.U.R.O.R.A., fighting the spawn of the Void and protecting citizens around the world. Mission after mission, her name became a symbol of hope. "She was the light in the darkness."

One day, a life-changing event struck her: she received the news that Professor Aura had not returned from her reconnaissance mission into the Dark World. Her mentor—the only person who could teach her—and someone she considered a friend… was lost to the Void. Avery desperately tried to find her, even risking becoming lost herself in the Dark World, but all her attempts were in vain. She was gone.

Avery fell into deep depression. She returned home to be with her parents and hid her powers, finding no reason to use them again. A.U.R.O.R.A. tried tirelessly to make her reconsider, but she left their messages unread. It seemed the organization was handling the Void’s spawn just fine without her. The world was fine without her.

Until one day, three mysterious individuals appeared in news reports around the world—the Neon Force had awakened within them. Avery remembered the precious words Professor Aura had entrusted to her during one of their countless lessons: "Avery, dear, if one day—for reasons we cannot yet understand—others like us were to awaken the Neon Force, I would want you to be their mentor, their teacher, someone to guide them along the neon path, just as I guided you. You’re ready. Absolutely."
