Welcome to Skull Day! A holiday in which dragon schools and business are closed. A tradition dating back billions of years. If a dragon was burried in normal grave sites, there would be no more land left, so when a dragon passes, and after the month of morning, the body parts are sold off then the skull is preserved and given an identification label. The skull is then brought to the community skull piles. On Skull Day, every dragon goes to their local skull caves for a day of traditional foods, poems and songs about dragons past. Once all the excitement is over, everyone goes to the skull piles to give them a good cleaning and reorganizing. Some end up taking naps on the piles. As the dragons leave, they leave items related to the hoard of the skulls that were in the piles. The items are eventaully collected and distributed to dragons who lack large hoards. Normally the skull hoarding dragons take care of it, but there are a lot of skulls so it's good to help them out. Skull piles are a delicate balance between a single dragon hoard, and community hoard. I brought Otter friend along to check it out this time.
