Fearsome dragon Damavykas as a cute and tiny baby.

From the founding story of the Walled City of Gallecross, Damavykas was found by the farmer Demyan, hiding as a black cockerel amongst his flock. The farmer slew the dangerous beast, nearly dying himself to protect his family and neighbors, and the resulting magical fallout led to an area free of dangerous fablefolk and feralfolk for long enough that the fieldfolk were able to establish the original Walled City of Gallecross (named for the imagery of the black rooster on Demyan's boar-spear).
