The next chapter in my saga of Mikaela cosplay in the uniform of every major villain team in the Pokemon series. Or play them up as some sort of bad timeline where Mikaela is an actual part of that team. Depending on my mood when looking at these pics lol. Either way, this time it’s her all dressed up as a Team Plasma Grunt from Gen V… The Pokemon Gen V, not the Prime Video show set in The Boy’s universe Gen V lol. Or rather their design from Black and White 2 because that in my opinion is the better looking and more kick ass and stylish looking uniform. I will admit that I think the classic look has grown on me a bit, but Black and White 2 Team Plasma just looks WAY more badass to me. Which I guess is fitting because it kinda reflects my opinion on the actual team itself.

Because I’ll admit, Team Plasma is a Villian team I had VERY mixed opinions on growing up. In the original Black and White they go around spreading this ideology that you’re a terrible person if you keep Pokemon in PokeBalls and that we should all release them because it’s the morally right thing to do which actually sounded like an interesting idea for a villain team to me… Only for them to be massive hypocrites and themselves keep Pokemon in Pokeballs anyway. Not to mention physically assaulting that Muna really early on just for it’s dream mist. Keep in mind, I was still only 14 at the time Black and White came out so the idea that you can spread a massive lie and gaslight people into believe your bullshit when you really have a different goal altogether never really occurred to me but even then, they could of at least made that lie look more convincing especially since the guilt tripping actually works on some people in game. And because I never played Black and White 2 when it came out as I just simply never got around to it, I never got to see how different Team Plasma were in that compared to the first game. Me having little motivation to go back to any older Pokemon game pre X and Y where EXP isn’t shared with your whole party probably didn’t help either.

Skip to now with me finally having got it a few years ago and playing it and I am so glad my opinion on Team Plasma is different now. Aside from the whole me growing to at the very least respect the whole gaslighting people to believe your lie for your own personal gain aspect of their original incarnation even if I don’t think it was done the best Team Plasma is at their best in this sequel. Not only is there an interesting civil war going on between former members who are still loyal to N who actually did have good intention as king of Team Plasma and want to atone for their mistakes and Ghetsis’s Team Plasma who basically threw subtly out the window and still want to conquer the region but they also have some sick new uniforms to match! Some sick, sexy new uniforms. Seriously, what is it with Pokemon and there villain teams having such kick ass uniforms that make people go “screw morality! I’m joining this team for the uniform!” Seriously, I only just got the Team Galatic outfit in Pokemon Go recently and man I sometimes forget how cool that uniform is. Oh, and this version of Team Plasma did also give us Mr Internet Explore himself Colress lol.
