The Ghost Witch of Toxicwood

Background: Thousands of years ago they were a Phantom Dragon witch who was betrayed by their apprentice. While on the brink of death they managed to forestall their end with a taboo of magic allowing them to take over the body of another already dying elderly Wood Dragons in the process of their elemental release. Normally no matter how strong a Phantom Dragon can not fully poses the body of another dragon living or dead. A living body already has a spirit meaning the body is full, and can not be supplanted by another spirit, and most elderly dragons when they die become their element upon death. A Corpse is also hard to poses once their body starts to decompose, their body just can't sustain itself very long. The Witch managed to slip in at an ideal moment where the spirit was leaving the body, and the body had not fully converted yet into their pure elemental form. They were also a witch of considerable power and knowledge of magical secrets often considered dark and unnatural. If any of these things had not been the case then they likely would have failed to fit into their new body.

They are now essentially immortal, and acts as a stalwart guardian deep within the forest of Toxicwood island, a hostile poisonous environment that is considered cursed or haunted by most dragons. The Brave dare not tread upon these lands, but the foolish who may try their luck may run into the Witch of the Woods and are unlikely to return, or if they do they will be permanently changed. There is something in Toxicwood that they fiercely guards which must never see the light of day again.

Personality: They are Aggressive, Distrustful, and really does not like to talk to anyone. They want only to be left alone in their self imposed isolation and will terrorize or attack anyone who disturbs their peace. Ever since they were betrayed by their apprentice they have issues granting any amount of trust to anyone, but they are also not just a victim, they are still a mad witch who takes a sadistic joy out of the harm they do onto others.
