I never thought the award mattered... Until I stopped getting them from everyone... No acknowledgement for effort if it amounts to falling short of the gold. I really do remember that cupboard next to her bed... Where good or bad my effort was awarded with her appreciation of my attempt... I want that moment again...I want that feeling that someone actually enjoys my creation. But the years have broken the part of me that wants to be vigorous... The paper now just lies blank, gathering dust in the corner of a shelf of my memories...
