As like as the Legend of El Cadejo in my homeland, something similar could happen in Pasadena, or at least the zone I'd visited once. There are two dog entities: the Lady (portrayed as a blond cocker spaniel in light attire) wanders through the finest neighborhoods of LA; and the Chicana (portrayed as a pitbull in saggy clothes and a bandana) patrols from a distance anyone who get through hostile suburban zones. Both of them manifest as guardian entities in town.
