Finished commission for
Draegwolf of 
Reivegan ’s character named Neige(with permission of course). She’s a polar bear with ice powers. Frost and snow can form around her as a protective shield and as expected, she can create weapons out of ice as well. She’s a very neat character that I had fun drawing. It was interesting to attempt a polar bear with a fitter body form. My brain wanted to make her chunky X3.
I made her hair a bit longer than depicted in the reference just to add a bit more energy into the piece (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/427311/).
As I was editing the scan, this turned into a texture experiment! I had so much fun with this drawing (I love drawing warrior-type chicks) that I had to do a bit of extra to it.
The background color texture was created by Hibbary. I used the 5th one from the left and modified it :3 http://hibbary.deviantart.com/gallery/1589588#/d1ipc6f

White textures were created with various brushes I have in Photoshop CS5. Drawing was made in graphite with a variety of pencils.

But all in all: I stopped posting for several months because I was finishing up illustration college n__n
Then I gradually started posting again, but not at an extremely fast rate since I work in addition to commissions. I also had a few larger commissions to work on, that took me longer, such as "Echoes of Winter". So thats pretty much why in a nutshell!
