This piece has been a long time coming. I drew it around two years ago, but everytime I sat down to colour it the task just seemed too great.

I finally got around to doing it. There's a lot of reasons and challenges to why I wanted to do something like this, and with the complexity it involved. I don't know all the answers as to why, just that I did.

I suppose something like this means different things to different people. To me it will always remind me of showing it to my best friend in the back of a car. That seems like a long time ago now.

Art fans may recognise the horse and pose. This was based from Jacques-Louis David, 'Napoleon on the St. Bernard Pass' 1801.
