Some of the close relatives to the stink dragons ive been talking about. (Sküpoi Gravillaa)

SKÜPOIVIDAI:

Cold-blooded, social, mid-tier predators and scavengers all descended from a ancient creation marketed as a companion animal, some of the traits are still around. though altered to better suit wild animals like fancy, decorative colors and patterns being useful for display or aposematism, scent glands that produced perfumes being repurposed for defense or communication and intelligence that is useful for tools instead of doing tricks for their owners, though it’s pretty limited in genuses other than Sküpoi. Usually using scrap or sticks to do things maybe sometimes very primitive medicine made from plants or insects rubbed into wounds.

I’ve haven’t been using words like Sapient or Sophont to describe the culture building stink dragons because I kinda like the idea that all living creatures would be sapient, They might not be social or have the mental capacity or physical structures to create a tool (or might not need to) and maybe the way they think differs greatly from humans but they would still be aware that they are a creature that exist, this is because things have souls and they get recycled when they die losing all memories in the process….. usually. but that’s something I should make a picture for later.
