I thought I'd try something different. Instead of using the smooth brushes that I usually use in Corel Painter, I thought I'd try using some more.... "painterly" tools. In this case, the Oill Pastels.
What do you guys think? How does it compare to my usual coloring jobs?
....
Anyway, this is RUBY.
See, I'm getting a new computer this week. My current one is no longer suitable for my work. It takes several minutes to save an art file, programs take forever to load, my brushstrokes take several seconds to "catch up" to my pen, if you understand what I mean.... and even games are starting to get choppy.
So I'm upgrading. Salvaging some parts from my current computer, to make THIS:
Case: Coolermaster HAF 922 (with all optional red LED fans)
Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A-D3
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
RAM: 4gb Ripjaws DDR3 1600
Salvaged parts:
Graphics: Nvidia GTX460
Sound Card: Asus Xonar DG... or Auzentech X-Fi Forte... depending on which slots I can use.
Windows 7 64-bit
By salvaging old parts, I only ended up paying a couple hundred bucks!
... and this robot lady here? She is the robotic personification of my computer! :D
Say hello, Ruby!
"HELLO RUBY."

wow... when I saw this first thing I thought was 'is that a modified Ruby Thursday?' (she is an old villian from Marvel comics who's head was a ruby red sphere that could project etrimities... tendril-like arms that held various weapons an such)

You look like a high performance model, Ruby. A rare combination of aesthetics and power.
Also, my custom desktop Digitalwave wants to know if you are compatible to unencrypted wireless exchanges. I keep telling him those are less secure, but you know how those overclocked boys can be!
