So my initial concept for this was I just wanted to draw something that was very distinctly something that should look cute and adorable and then change the expression so that they look very intimidating instead. And figured the best one to do that would be the protagonist to my Werepix Chronicles. And why it's called the Blue Rose when there's nothing in the character that's at all blue: In A True Gift they are given a rose made of ice and are seen the entire festival wearing it in their hair, even being photographed with it twice. Then in Attrition they're given a blue flower emblem to show they've been deputized of sorts. And in Infiltration there will be an easter egg hidden that will hint at something more going on if I actually ever get around to getting it drawn. So it's not the character's name per se, but them and Maria are combined are somewhat code named as The Blue Rose.

Anyway, that aside, my thoughts on the drawing itself. Not going to complain too much on the low quality shading. I wasn't feeling like spending a ton of time. And I would have probably gone in and did a bit of a fade brush effect here and there but for some reason that function did not seem to want to work. Every time I'd select Fade, it'd immediately jump back to being Pen Pressure next time I clicked anywhere. I think I did well enough in that if you block out the head it does kind of look like what you'd expect to be somewhat normal. I probably should have blunted the claws a bit or even hidden the claws entirely to really go all in on making them look adorable. Also could have made the eyes even bigger and rounder and adjust the proportions to be a bit more puppy-like. Also somewhat unsure if i like the ear fluff. Like I wanted to give them some ear fluff but the fact I went with the hair/tail color rather than the base body or belly fur color may make people come to the wrong conclusion that they're some sort of fennekin hybrid or something.
