This has been long, looong, LOOOOOOOOONG overdue--but look who's back! And sporting a completely new makeover, no less~

Hard to believe this actually marks my first time drawing Noivern Naruga in full, huh? For as long as he's existed, I only ever fully drew his Noibat self, as he was otherwise just limited to busts or incomplete doodles.

That isn't to say Naruga's design has ever been bad, but it's certainly gone through a few subtle changes over the years he's existed. From just a stock Noivern recolor, to gaining additions of floof... couple that with just how many things have happened, I found myself sort of drifting away from actually using the bat as a tentative sona/mascot, or at least, not to the extent I used to back in 2022.

At any rate, I couldn't actually say what spurred on this redesign; he's definitely leaning more toward the dragon-end of the bat-dragon spectrum, at least when it comes to drifting away from being furred, to having a more explicitly scaled body. I think the sleeker look suits him, and the inverted coloration makes him out to be more mystical~ (and also calls to his cute lil Noibat self better)

Oh, and he even has his 'do; something I've ALWAYS wanted to work into his Noivern design, but its always ranged from silly to stupid. Now its just silly... and still a little stupid. But he's rockin' it, and I'm happy with it!
