addiction is no joke, and can sometimes be subtle. other times it's unbearable, and the urge to fall right back into old habits can feel impossible to resist. This is where having others who support your decision to be sober helps A LOT.
Personally, i'm someone who's a follower by nature. So all i really need is for someone to give me a stern lecturing, remind me of what's at stake and ORDER me to NOT do the thing i'm craving to do. that kind of just.... triggers something in my brain. it just feels so much easier.
This day, friend Shenlong dropped a quote i found rather wise, so much so that it instantly put this image of him in my head, as a sort of mentor character who speaks very little, but when he does, it's to drop some wisdom on you and leave you thinking.
His words honestly did help me and stopped me in my tracks from consuming again
