The light had momentarily kissed the distant oceanic horizon, A feeling not unfamiliar to the Crocodile framed like a silhouette against the appearing stars around her. She never really knew why this was her moment at the end of the day, a long orange to purple to blue glow all to her thoughts... But she knew that she could appreciate the sentiment. Her Silly Cat had made the poetry of the day so apparent so many times, and oh how she came to appreciate it.
"Beebz? Everything okay?" Raven called.
Beatrice turned to the voice, her spines shifting slightly, "Hey Rave, you're home early." Her tone was surprised but incredibly subtle, something the lynx has learned to discern.
"Saw you up here, you were staring."
"Yeah, the unset was beautiful tonight, still a bit more if you wanna see..."
Raven walked next to her and noted teasingly, "Was much more interested in the stars."
"What?"
"The Stars, Beebz... y'know..." he tried taking her side.
"Ravey, it's already hard enough you... top trying to sound poetic for a bit okay?"
Raven took her hand, bond to bond letting her feel the warmth on his coat bleed into her scales... "Ravey..."
"Yeah?" Raven asked. Beatrice gave him a look of question, something to imply the obvious... Something she hopes he'll try for...
"Ravey... C'mon"
"You know you're my star Beebz..." He nuzzled her muzzle gingerly, "Crazy Croc" Beebz smiled gently at the silly name.
"Silly Cat." Raven returned her smile. Slowly their arms found comfort on the other, and leaning in for an explosion of emotion, one small crack in her damn leads to a break in his own. Their lips become locked in a dance of opening and closing acts, each it's own unique taste of the other, the moment stretches long until stars consume the sky, and the break away is a gasp as they hold onto their other half with a love only the poets never to be could describe.
Breathes exchanged in the cool air begin to blend in the small space their entwined muzzles afford and as they embrace each other they remember this subtle feeling of the home they'd built, the love they'd shared and the hope they longed so deeply to love
Hey Guys had a good bit of fun with this, and apologies for the late release, the joy of a property manager not paying the bill amiright?
Love these two and always hope to get more of them out
