STARRING:
Tacki
FEATURING:

Toroth had long told his pal, Yosh, of another super-close dragon buddy he knew by the name of Tacki. One day, it just so happened Tacki was set to have playdate at Toroth's and, remembering how big Yosh's yard was, Toroth asked if Yosh would want to meet Tacki by having a playdate at the O'Ducky house. Of course, Yosh quacked, "Yes!"
Yosh was surprised when he met Tacki. Unlike hie pal, Toroth, Tacki was all dressed up in what he said was his "Officer's Uniform" and was ready to head out to the "Open Fields" to take out bad guys with his foam-ball blasting pistols.
Everyone was excited to go outside and play the game until Mrs. O'Ducky spotted Tacki's pistols.
"Oh, no," she said. "We don't play with those here?"
"Huh?" wondered all the kids as they looked about
"Sorry," Mrs. O'Ducky said as she shook her head. "You're going to have to put those away. Guns aren't toys.
"But..." baffled Tacki as he looked at his foam pistol. "It's pretend..."
"Pretend or real," insisted Mrs. O'Ducky. "We don't anyone getting any wrong ideas about guns." She then pulled her son close.
With a shrug, Toroth hinted to Tacki that he should comply and, with a sigh, he handed his foam-ball firing pistols over to Mrs. O'Ducky.
"That's better," she said as she let her son go. "Now why don't you guys go play outside?"
That said, the trio went outside to have fun. Though, all disappointed that the neat idea Tacki had, with no pun intended, been shot down.
---
Some time passed and, as the little ones did their thing, they noticed that Mr. O'Ducky was in the garage doing some painting. They were about to ask what he was doing when, suddenly, Mr.s O'Ducky cried out that he had an important call and had to take it "NOW!"
Forgetting everything else, Mr. O'Ducky dashed away leaving what he was doing in a very accessible location for little ones with curious minds.
"Ooh!" Yosh said. "That's the paint my daddy bought the other day." He then giggled, "He let me pick out the orange and green as they match and I'm so proud I know matching and my mommy and daddy think I'm smart-
Toroth clamped Yosh's rambling beak as he rubbed his back and said, "We get it."
"Hey!" cried Tacki as he spotted the various brushes lying in reachable locations. "I have an idea how we can play our game without my guns!"
"How's that?" wondered Toroth.
SPLAT
"Hey!" cried Toroth as Tacki slashed him with a streak of orange paint down his belly.
"Have at you!" cried Tacki as he stood ready to strike
Toroth and Yosh looked at each other and smiled.
"Okay!" exclaimed Yosh as he grabbed a brush and dipped it into the green paint. "I super duck will take no prisoners!"
SPLAT
Yosh quacked as Tacki nailed him across the beak.
"You, super duck," he giggled. "Now have blue lips."
With still no adult supervision, the trio went about acting like swashbucklers with the paintbrushes Mr. O'ducky had left behind in his rush to get the phone.
Later that night, Mrs. O'Ducky would have a hard time deciding what was worse. Letting kids play with toy guns, or opening up an opportunity for them to coat themselves from head-to-toe with wall paint. Bath time would be a long and bubbly one for sure.

<LoL!> I s'pose it depends on how you look at it. I mean, at school, paint is safe and comes off easy. How are they to know that this paint is any different?
I'm sure, during bubblebath time, there will be much to discuss about why a certain Dino Ducky should always make sure he stays out of the garage unless he has adult supervision from now on. :)

Awww! What a super nice surprise Yosh! Especially nice cuz I got to see it just after I got home from work. My compliments on Tacki's attire, it definitely looks like something a cub would have thrown together. My mom must be really awesome to let me go around dressed like that. Loved the little twist in your story there, how we ended up probably doing something way worse than what Mrs. O'Ducky imagined. It's amazing how much trouble those kids can get in if you leave them alone for five minutes. Though hopefully I'll be invited over again to the O'Ducky household and not be thought of as a bad example! ^^;
*Hugs* I have no doubt you'll get to come over again. Heck, I think Mr. O'Ducky may even have a talk with the Mrs. about how they are just play, foam-guns and that, as hatchies, we would be just like they were when they were little playing "Cops and Robbers" or "Cowboys and Indians".
No one may ever know the "important" call Mr. O'Ducky got, but at least now, also, Yosh knows to stay out of the garage when there is adult supervision, too. So, yep! I do believe we will have a "High Plains" play date soon! :)
