One of the most important things for me, when an artist draws something for me, is that the character appears to be actually there. Is part of the environment. Not just standing (or floating) behind something that looks like a greenscreen. One of my favorite "proofs" that the character is "really" there, are footprints on the ground or some moisture/dirt in fur or clothes.
I'm happy that not a single of your artworks ever made me question if the character is actually part of the environment or not. Like here – with the pawprints in the sand or actually touching the ground with the full body. I would have liked to see a few grains of sand on the paws and the fur. But that's just me. Nicely done.

A character shall always fit to an environment in my opinion :3
Hmmm when I work on a picture, I do a lot of brainstormings first. What environment fits with what poses etc... When I actually work on the commission, I start with the character, then align the BG to them. The characters are always the main focus of the pictures (... mostly) :3
Hmmm good point, nxt time >w> But thank you for pointing it out :3
