Hello burs

I was inspired by Shonen manga covers that shows the main characters posing for a shot. But more specifically I was more interested in the concept “when you pick up the first volume in the series”.

The first thing you see when you pick up the first volume, you turn the book over and examine the front cover to see what’s the story might be like. The art cover sets up the tone and what to expect as you flip through its pages for the first time.

This manga cover inspired piece shows Prince, our protagonist who turned into a bear, covers 90% of the cover with fur, pointing a clawed finger to himself, a cracked iPhone showcasing a missing person as if to tell the viewer “this is me”.

“Will you help him?”, as if the covers asks before you turn the page.
