Essuna is a genie from a long time ago who was caught in a magic ring by an evil wizard who wanted to rule over an Arabian kingdom, but as she refused to grant any wishes that would kill it resulted in the wizard being defeated and she was promised to be rewarded by the sultan, who she revealed not just how she can't grant just any wish and she's not the powerful kind that can grant more than one wish per person and even then too many wishes will exhaust her and need to recharge her powers for a year.

She can still use other forms of magic like levitation and changing forms just to bring a few examples.

However, the jealous vizier wanted her as his own servant but when it stole the ring she resided in he accidentally dropped it like a dunce and the ring and Essuna was thought to be lost for all eternity until modern day when she was found and released by a man who's uncertain of what to even wish but knew it was for the best to protect her ring.

The two of them would get into trouble in which Essuna would end up using her powers to get them out of it.

I was partly (or mostly) inspired by the camel dancers that appeared in one of the song numbers of Disney's Aladdin, and it was only later when I decided to also make her a genie too.
