The Monarch Swinewing (Lepidoporcus monarcha)
is a rare and admired creature that combines the body of a medium-sized land mammal with the delicate grace of a monarch butterfly.
Its shimmering wings glow in rich shades of orange and deep brown, traced with fine white spots. The short, soft fur of its body gives it a friendly and familiar appearance.

Few claim to have ever seen one of their nests. Some say they build them high in the crowns of old trees, where the morning sunlight filters through the leaves.
There they rest until a warm breeze carries them back across the meadows – as if to greet the world with silent grace.
