The eagles are gone. Oh well. This is from the road-side edge of the field they were in. Nice foggy morning. This happened quite suddenly. I was walking back to the van (behind those trees there) when the sun crested over the field beyond, shining through the thin line of trees between the field and the road. Now that's what I call atmosphere!

I think this might have been the universe's gift to me for all the pain and perseverance, all the unsuccessful outings, and add hours sweating in a blind now too. Yep, eagles were gone but the universe tapped me on the shoulder and said this one's for you, on a doily, on a pedestal, with a spotlight shining on it. Thanks universe.
Actually, this is the one that's gonna sell. The colors are beautifully subtle, pastels swept by sharp-edged leaves, sure to grab a critical and discerning eye.
