phyllis is being gooselit

sort of a continuation of my previous futterman sketches. phyllis’ dialogue never fails to make me feel sorry for her and this little interaction between her and the doctor is no different, especially in that its one of the rare instances where dr futterman is for the most part gentle with her, and also showing that she’s just on the cusp of completely grasping her situation but either through outside intervention or her own subconscious she’s being corralled back into blissful ignorance.
i also like the idea of futterman sometimes manifesting in gooseberry’s vision as his more cartoonish self. presents a lot of potential for some surreal/tragic scenes.
