Earlier today I did some redraws of the two to practice repeating the head shape and give them some extra colors and patterning. Which makes them looks much better than just tan. Both still hadn't been named yet, but the overall design was starting to shape up. I was imagining Xisai as a shy girl and tried to reflect that with larger alert eyes, narrow pupils and a more nervous looking mouth.
