The Skyview Tower and Restaurant // Interior details
🏙️ Atego SM — Skyview Tower (1969)
Location: Oleander district, 1 km from the Raven River port area
Function: Panoramic restaurant and observation deck
Height: 200 meters
Main structure: Lightweight concrete with reinforced beams — 3 pairs of main beams, no external cables
🌅 Interior – “Skyview Restaurant”
Upon entering the habitable floor of the Skyview Tower, visitors are greeted by a luxurious, elegant environment, rich in Ategana symbolism. The space is surprisingly spacious, supported by columns and beams of noble Ategana wood, radiating from the ceiling in converging spokes reminiscent of a wheel’s structure. These beams not only bear part of the upper structure’s weight but also enhance the craftsmanship and organic character of the local architecture — a fusion of technology and nature.
✦ Flooring and Divisions
The floor is visually divided into three areas:
Left sector (jaguar-patterned floor): Covered with prints resembling jaguar fur — light orange, gold, and brown — symbolizing the royalty and power of Atego SM’s feline families.
Right sector (tiger-patterned floor): Featuring bold black and bright orange stripes, evoking the strength and bravery of ategan tigers.
Rear sector (wooden floor): Made of wide polished planks, housing the circular glass dance floor (about two palms thick), positioned over one of the main structural beams. This area also contains the performance stage, where local artists and refined orchestras performed under discreet warm amber lighting.
✦ Left Area — Restaurant
The restaurant occupies the tower’s left side. A few carefully arranged tables ensure visitor comfort and safety. Near the central corridor, a mini integrated kitchen features a fixed cooktop powered by internal gas piping, hidden from public view. A small service counter separates the preparation area from the serving area.
✦ Right Area — Bar and Wine Cellar
On the opposite side is a more relaxed space: a mini bar and wine cellar, with two counters — one internal and another along the glass edge, ideal for enjoying the sunset over the Raven River. The décor follows a feline theme, with long sofas and animal-print armchairs, creating a luxurious yet cozy atmosphere.
✦ Center — Panoramic Core and Access
The central core houses a glass panoramic elevator, running along the tower’s axis from the base to the upper observation deck. The view during the ascent is described as one of the most beautiful experiences in Atego SM, revealing the sparkling waters of the Raven River, the port, and Oleander’s urban silhouette.
Ornate golden and brown staircases wind around the core, leading to the observation deck, passing small support areas and discreetly placed restrooms under the staircase landings.
✦ Upper Observation Deck
The tower’s summit crowns the experience: a circular platform with 360° views, surrounded by tempered glass. From here, visitors can observe everything from port activity to the distant Sol Forest Reserve in the north — a view that many describe as “the gaze of the felines over Atego.”
