It's like: "Oh yeah, buddy, let me give up my life force so you can take advantage of me, of what I love and have made on my own, without any recriminations, because you can't do the same for yourself"
-I found a point of comparison between my character Venganza and artists we're against generative AI and wanted to illustrate it.
A wall of text is coming up that you're free to skip, but it's mostly a personal reflection since we already into the topic:
The other day I was thinking about this whole artists vs. AI thing, and those who are for AI and against artists, you know, those... The thing is, one of the things they say to get us to stay quiet and accept that the machine will replace us is that "it happened before with the invention of the camera." Of course, they're omitting the fact that artists didn't disappear because of that, but rather had more opportunity to experiment with other styles besides portraits. And even so, artists who paint portraits didn't disappear at all; on the contrary, right now their work is much more valuable than any selfie. Along the same lines, those people say that since there are factories with machines that automate certain processes, there's no longer a labor force, again ignoring all those who still make a living from artisanal work and personal ventures. Or is it that because there's a Bimbo bread factory, there are no more bakers??
They can open all the McDonald's branches they want, none of those burgers are even a third as good as the last homemade burger I ever had. Well, something similar happens with artists and AIs, but since we are the profession and trade that is most despised by ordinary people, it's easier to assume that there's a problem with us becuse we refuse to accept it. And I suppose that to a certain extent you can't reason with an ignorant person if they decide to remain so. I guess it's best to try our best to ignore them and their delusions. If they think "AI is better than human work because AI doesn't charge money," it's because they were never going to pay for art anyway.
For some people, McDonald's is better than those homemade burgers, and to a certain extent, I guess that's fine. Gold wouldn't be worth as much if there weren't pyrite to compare it to, right?
Aaanyways... Disfruten!!✨✨ ^^)b
