When you want to wet your whistle, no one has better alcohol than Adelaide, the owner and bartender of ‘The Unicorns Horn’ bar. Adelaide is a large and boisterous individual who was born in Little Orleans and grew up with Riffy, L’amour, and others in town. From a young age, Adelaide had a hard time with magic; even with fey ancestry in his bloodstream, he had trouble manifesting any kind of magic. Growing up in Little Orleans was a nice time for the young Adelaide; he was always very popular with his peers. Making his horse parents proud, he excelled in school and had a particular knack for cooking. Upon turning eighteen, he left home to attend a culinary school in the city of Saltport, where he nurtured his cooking abilities. While in Saltport, his popularity grew, and he had many lovers, but he couldn’t help but feel homesick. He often dreamed of Little Orleans and the friends he left to pursue his career.
At 21, the unicorn came back to town, his education finalized, and he was greeted with love from his friends. Seeing that his town needed a proper watering hole outside of the hotel, he quickly petitioned Mayor Bellyare to give him a building to build his bar. His request was granted after a small battle with Madam Moonberry, who didn’t want the competition of both a secondary brothel AND a secondary bar. Using funds he received from his family and friends, as well as a loan from the bank, he quickly got his bar filled with alcohol and food. It was an overnight success! Finally, the town had a proper bar, and Adelaide couldn't be prouder of himself. Over the years of him running his bar, he served the finest alcohol and good food, but he was missing something. He began to experiment with making his own alcohol. It took constant failure, but he got it right in the end. The night that Adelaide released his new beer, which he called ‘Horn Ale’, the town got extremely drunk. A night of revelry was had by all; it took days for everyone to get back to normal. Some, including the now Sheriff Riffy, were squashed flat by much bigger members of the community.
Adelaide prefers to be out on the town when not working, being a very outgoing person. While he still did not have a hand at magic, he at least had a basic knowledge of illusion magic. He always had an eye for men, and even experimented with Riffy and Erwan the skunk, but so far, the big guy hasn’t met the one. He does have one secret admirer in town, whose identity he doesn't know, but he has his suspicions. He still hangs out with his childhood friends like Riffy, L’amour, and Cinnamon, loving spending time with them. One day, Adelaide hopes to find the man of his dreams, but until that day, Ady is gonna serve beer, make good food, and sit on Riffy whenever that little bastard asks for water in his bar!
