Humble beginnings can make for a really social woman. Fisherwoman at port. There's a lot of time to run your mouth when you're employed of a fishing ship, but very little chained as a slave. Something about prisoner's making plans. Who would she plan with when being the boarding party in piracy is fairly high turnover work? Done without weapons doesn't leave a lot of lasting men. Could it really be called preying on the weak when Ainé was right there among them. Getting wounded beside them on the decks of innocent ships.
Normally, it takes a misplaced Hoshi-no-tama for the lucky someone to score a wish. It is, of course, fundamental to a kitsune's survival. Sometimes a rule can be bent, a kind of pact can be made. Physical prowess from the men in exchange for protections when boarding. Even a Zenko can't help but to twist the words in her favor.
With this new height, and fresh strength, the woman made herself a terror among pirates and the ships they were forced to board. Not that they gave her a weapon in the first place, but she used her fists and the shackles behind them with a frightening proficiency. The men were protected and she guarded her promise to them well. Until one dreary day a sword lay on the deck of a ship they were raiding, beautiful in its craftsmanship and massive in size. She did not fight anyone for it, nor was it wrenched from any hands. As with many boardings, it would make for good protection in their grim task.
It was on lifting this grace-given weapon that Ainé was stricken by the skies and filled with a vigor she could not place. The sword found its first justice in a pirate dropping on deck. The other captives were quick to see the change in tides when crackles and arcs lanced out from the towering fox.
Really, would they ever have been able to keep a woman so willed down?
