Since I never uploaded these character designs here, I'm uploading them now.
These next set of pictures are of the original cast of the fantasy metal band 'Musicpsycho'.
First, we have the Lead Vocalist, backup guitarist, dancer and special effects man, Taiyo, the hybrid mewtwomorph. He's also one of the original founders of the band.
Taiyo was created on March 6th, 1986 (Pisces) and stands 7ft, 7in high on primarily digitigrade feet. He is, actually, half Saiya-jin.
He also has a son whom he's raised as a single parent (though enlisted his best friend, Blade, to help out).
He is a tenor, leaning towards the higher tones, with gorgeous vibrato. (Sonata Arctica's primary lead vocalist would be my first choice as his voice over.) Before Musicpsycho, he was a semi-successful Solo (well, let's say he was nationally known in his homeland - Japan, and often did music for theme songs in Anime as well as various small gigs; but did not enjoy worldwide success).
He speaks with an accent, but not a Japanese one, for his 'mothertongues' are actually whatever Mewtwo's is and Saiya-jin - Japanese is his second language and English his third. Being psychic and telepathic, however, he can communicate with most people.
Taiyo, however, has an issue: He has a very aggressive nature, but struggles not to become that. So, in his early years, it was so bad that he had to take short 'vacations', where he'd just fly off to some place completely remote and secluded, and rage. In his early years, this happened on average once or twice a month. In his later years, he's managed to deal with his urges enough that his 'breakdowns' happen about once or twice a year.
During one of his trips, he found himself in a very bad country - although this presented him the perfect opportunity to take out his aggression. He arrived there, alone, and was soon set upon by 'Them', who sought to capture or kill any pokémorph they came across. During this fight, he met an eevee named Dominic Lorenz (who was also looking for a fight when 'Them').

Secondly, we have Marijke, the last member to join the band, primarily as lead female vocals, choreographer and pyrotechnician (because she has pyrokinetic powers).
She and a twin brother were born to absolutely normal-looking cheetah parents, but as her brother's markings as a "King Cheetah" were obvious, so was her leukism clear from the beginning. Furthermore, it became clear that one of her ancestors' marriage to an arctic fox had effected her: She had larger ears and a thicker pelt than her brother or parents.
After childbirth, her mother grew sick and was bedridden. She died either days or weeks afterwards - this flipped her father out.
Though her parents were technically African (Namibia), they had emmigrated to America shortly after marrying, so she grew up with English as her mothertongue (Afrikaans -and Dutch- being something of a second language that was only taught to her half-assedly by her father).
Her father, however, was anything but a caring father and actually quite resentful of the two children for the death of his wife - went to alcohol and became an abusive dad.
His fave punishment for most of Marijke's 'indescretions' was to hold her arm over an open flame (their gas stove, usually); whilst her brother actually got clobbered (punched, kicked, things broken over his head, you name it).
It was because of this that Marijke developed her pyrokinesis - obviously having some slight talent for telekinesis.
Her brother and she both ran away - seperately - in their early teens.
Marijke became a wanderer and learned to dance (surviving by being a stripper in bars/clubs for a short time until she had to run again - secretly afraid that if she stayed in one place too long, her father would find her) and eventually wound up in Germany where she stayed.
It was a few years later that she met Taiyo. Musicpsycho did a worldwide tour and as Taiyo was not one who was content to stay in the hotel and, further, was not intimidated by foreign languages, went out exploring the country in his spare time. During one of his excursions, he met Marijke.
The two became friends and kept in contact even after he left Germany - eventually, they started dating. He brought her back to America at some point and had her meet the rest of the band members.
Eventually, he discovered her dancing, singing and her pyrokinesis and insisted she audition for the band. She did so and was voted in by the rest of the group. She signed on and then made arrangements to move back to america, though into her own apartment, to be with the band.
It did, however, become clear that the relationship with Taiyo wasn't working out. First, they just weren't hitting it off so well, plus she found herself undeniably attracted to another bandmate.
She also wasn't exactly getting along very well with Taiyo's son (mischevious psychic mewtwomorph himself, whom she could achieve absolutely no sense of authority with - he could control her mind, if he wanted, though his father had forbidden this). Also, Taiyo wanted to go faster than she did (move in together, talk about marriage, etc.. whilst she found that all a little smothering and uncomfortable).
So ,she and Taiyo eventually broke it off; and soon ends up in the bed of one of her other collegues'.
(Yes, this is more than I've ever openly revealed about Marijke's past, I think.)

LOL! Yipper, exactly - and hence the name "Marijke". And I had a feeling you might appreciate that detail (read your artistic profile, Mr. Oudtshoorn-coming-person). The only sucky thing is that I can't speak it, just understand it pretty well. My German is way better.

LOL! Seriously? It's a problem? I've noticed, though, that the Dutch also find it pretty easy to understand German even when they don't speak it, but it doesn't work so well in reverse. Granted, the Dutch have a very specific pronunciation that I could see as making it confusing for people with similar languages.
