Since I never uploaded these character designs here, I'm uploading them now.
These next set of pictures are of the original cast of the fantasy metal band 'Musicpsycho'.
Here, we have Dominic "Blade" Lorenz, the umbreonmorph lead guitarist, backup vocalist, dancer and headbanger/hair-dancer - as well as co-founder of the band - who is obsessed with knives, cussing, sex and not smiling for any camera. (At this point, I hadn#t completely nailed his design and only had an idea of what his guitar should look like.)
He's a hardcore goth, who wears only black; cusses like a sailor; is very promiscuous; quite arrogant; hates bass-guitars; loves the violin and owns an electric one; sings; dances; enjoyes his fangirls very much.. stuff like that.
Blade is actually a very complex character. On one hand, he treats his bandmates with a sharp tongue; but on the other, is extremely devoted to them as well. Taiyo is his best friend; and whilst he calls Taiyo some of the worst names he can think of, if Taiyo ever needs him he'll be there.
He jabs Taiyo over everything, from being a mewtwo, to being a half-breed mewtwo, to being younger, to being a "cat", to being bisexual (whilst Blade is strictly het), etc.. whatever Blade comes up with in the moment. But, also, actually, knows where the limits are and respects those limits.
Blade was born May 13th, 1977 (Taurus and Snake) making him the second oldest member of the band, in another country as the younger of fraternal twin brothers. In that crappy country, he learned to fight, to close off and harden his heart, to be an ass, to live for the moment, and to ruthlessly kill an enemy (as a rebel fighter) when he got the chance. He also discovered a talent and obsession with knives and medicine.
Evolving into an Umbreon at 16 years of age was his choice, not happenstance.
There was a five or so year stint where he was captured by the enemy (actually, allowed himself to be, in order to reach his goal), and beaten, tortured, then made into a slave. During this time, he picked up recreational activities to numb the pain, did things he'd later regret (ANYTHING his master told him to), and learned to play guitar - having shown talent, his master signed him up for lessons so he could further entertain.
He got out of the whole mess when he reached his goal of finding his brother and managing to escape with him.
After that, he continued guitar; resumed studying medicine; and re-established contact with Taiyo. When Taiyo heard that not only could Blade play guitar quite well, but that Blade's brother could seriously play piano/keyboard, he suggested they start a band. Blade and Axel jumped on the chance - as it was a way out of their shitty country and a chance to really make something of themselves (well, that was Blade's reasoning - Axel, who's brain was already fried, went along because he went along).
Blade dropped his medicinal studies without a second thought and hauled ass - unknowlingly leaving his current bed partner hanging (well, he casually said "Bye, Babe, it was lots of fun, but I'm outta here; have a nice life." to someone who'd, in the next few weeks, discover she was pregnant).
He didn't look back until, during a tour in his homecountry, she confronted him wanting him to pay child-support and a paternity test proved the kid was his (once proven, he was man enough to just pay instead of trying to fight or something - but wanted nothing to do with his kid).
Blade most likely has other illegitimate children that he doesn't know about.
He's also very Childfree and has no wishes to ever be a daddy.
He's a person who is full of pride - though also self-loathing - and, IF he gives his word, sticks to it. If he's 'adopted you', as he's pretty much done with the whole band (but ONLY them), then you can rely on him.
In particular, he bonded with Taiyo and Marijke as best friends/family (though developed quite an interest in Marijke which, out of respect for both of them, never persued and never hoped to persue).
He's also the primary babysitter for Ryu and, eventually, comes to develope a sort of big-brother-type relationship with the kid. Being an Umbreonmorph as well as having a very intact sense of authority, he's more than able to handle Ryu's mischeviousness. (Ryu can't control his mind or do anything else that Blade wouldn't allow - though out of habit, the child does try to read minds whenever he can, which Blade picks up on and scolds him for - and is capable of blocking, if need be, just usually doesn't, prefering that Ryu CHOOSE to be polite and stay out.)
(Oh yeah, and see? I can't draw guitars! No clue how I screwed up and made this one SO HUGE... I was looking at references whilst, I swear.. just got carried away in over-exaggerating things - Blade's feet are way too large, too.)
