Across the many cases that the wolf mind mage, Enigma, solved while exploring Machresse and its sprawling cityscape, he began to notice a pattern. Having built up his cardio and endurance over a lifetime of running, climbing, and traversing the planes of the multiverse, very few of the culprits he apprehended were capable of outrunning or outmaneuvering him even when they had the advantage of terrain familiarity.

If he could get them running, the odds were in his favor. They would almost always grow exhausted faster than he would. A fact that once more made itself clear as he knelt down to his exhausted quarry.

"You'd think with how often people run from me, they'd at least work on their cardio."

As  Linn_686 depicts in this piece, it is very difficult to shake Enigma off your tail once he’s in pursuit. Better start incorporating more endurance training into your routine.
