Character Description:

Kitty is a very personal representation of his owner, and acts as a persona/avatar of them. He is his owner; there is extremely little 'in-character' difference between the two beyond the limitations of reality and the possibilities of fantasy.

Kitty is generally a calm, chill, laid-back individual, and when he's in a decent mood, he enjoys spending time either alone or with friends, depending on his social energy. He aims to show love and kindness to others, unless they show him they aren't deserving of his time/effort (generally by deliberately hurting the people he loves). He is usually relaxed, but he will put his foot down if he needs to. He does not stand for abuse, manipulation, or deliberate harm brought to himself or others - He's been a victim of these, and does not want to see anyone else suffer in the same way he has.

Kitty lives with different physical and mental conditions - Most notably, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (both physical and mental), Asperger's Syndrome, abuse-related PTSD, clinical depression, and general anxiety, among a few others. He takes medications to help with some of the more detrimental conditions. His mood can change without warning by the whims of his brain chemistry (and inner demons, as he puts it), but he does the best he can to mitigate these episodes when they happen. Sometimes he needs space and some time to himself.

Kitty wants to make sure it's known that he is far from perfect; he does not want to be seen as a Mary Sue-type. He doesn't operate well under pressure. He strongly dislikes last-minute changes to his plans. He is limited in his ability to be social, particularly regarding what he calls his 'social battery' - He can't socialize too much or for too long at a time without burning out. He easily misses social cues. He's usually very patient, but he tends to get snarky, blunt, and/or passive-aggressive with people who do get on his nerves. He overthinks a lot, and often catastrophizes when he feels like he's hurt someone, regardless of whether or not he actually has. He struggles to multitask, as his mind tends to hyper-fixate on one thing at a time. He's an extreme empath, to a fault. He feels a strong need to help others, even at the expense of his own well-being, yet he frequently neglects to take care of himself or follow his own advice. He gives too much benefit of the doubt to people showing red flags, and too many chances to those who have wronged him. And he has been known to lash out at people when he's in extreme distress, hence his preference for being alone when he's dealing with his demons - Even when he genuinely needs the help and support.

Overall, though, Kitty just tries his best to make it through one day at a time. He loves his friends dearly - They are the most important thing in the world to him. And he does what he can to be a light and bring joy and happiness to others.



Personality:

Chill, laid-back, and relaxed most of the time. Friendly and easygoing. Aims to spread joy, happiness, and kindness to others. Empathetic to a fault. Aware of his shortcomings.

Deals with depression, anxiety, and other conditions. Mood can be unpredictable sometimes. Also deals with chronic fatigue and frequent exhaustion, both physical and mental.

Does the best he can to be there for the ones he loves and cares about.

Always aiming to better himself.
