The Crinkly Nexus has been cropping up in some of my short stories recently and furs have been quite curious about it. I've compiled everything folks have asked and information I've already given into this little lore doc for you! You'll also find I've made a new folder themed to this here on FA, as I anticipate using this concept a lot in the future. Enjoy!
Also in case it's unclear: I'd LOVE for you to use this for stories and art, just like... let me know you're doing it and let folks know where the idea came from! If this gets fan art, I'd love to make a nexus for Nexus art. <3
UPDATE 11/19/2025: added information on merchants, details on the neutral rooms a traveler will find themselves in, the inexorability of progress, and extra tidbits about realms under the control of masters. Also some format changes for a better reading experience.
UPDATE 11/30/2025: oh my gosh! I completely forgot I wrote about the Crinkly Nexus for Crinkle Castle. I did a lore document twice?! Shame on me. I rolled in my favorite descriptors from the last one into this one to combine them together, and added in a relevant image from my (yet to be uploaded) gallery. It's worth a re-read I think!
UPDATE 12/03/2025: added clarification that 'throne world' owners can freely visit and leave their own reality bubble into 'real space.'

Is there somewhere you would receive/people could share fan made things for the Crinkly Nexus ? Sorry if you have already addressed that elsewhere, I know the idea of it is people can create their own things in it, but I was curious if a space had been established for sharing. Love your writing!
If you want to build it up even more, I already have questions you could add to the world by answering. ^.^
When you arrive in the Crinkly Nexus, you generate a pocket for yourself, and can begin your journey from there, right? What does the starter pocket look like? I'm imagining it's the same for magic users and regular people as it is for the monsters; the room is meant to be your new 'home' if you choose it to be, and so it's non-threatning but fully decked out in your personal fixations and interests if you want to indulge or impose them on a visitor. Is that right, or am I way off?
Likewise with the neutral room after you 'wake up'. It's closer to either 'end' than before you were 'knocked out' but since it's neutral/unoccupied it's probably 'yours' again, right?
That's my main question actually, with subquestions. The other one that comes to mind right now, is how big can the chambers get? It seems like if you're meant to be able to cross a chamber and get to the door on the other side, the local 'lord' wouldn't likely be able to expand it much forther, right?
I feel like there should also be special rooms like a merchant too, but like, what would you trade? XD
At any rate I've been enjoying this stuff between reading Crinkle Castle stuff and your recent Gazer story. Maybe I'll try a trip to (through?) the Crinkly Nexus myself sometime soon.

Ahh sweet! Let's see... Okay so the starting room isn't like "Your domain if you were one of the monsters you're likely to encounter." but like, just a small chamber/area (probably sized for you, if you're a dragon or something else big?) and there are diapers. Hmm... Do you arrive padded if you weren't, or are the diapers just there if you wanna before you get started?
And then when you get 'knocked out' and 'wake up' it's a similar space, but with inn energy (innergy?).
This other bit you added for the merchants "Perhaps they will offer services for entertainment" gives me another idea for a specialized room/chamber type though. Like, a theater, or a club, or that sort of thing, where you can 'work' for 'money' for trading later on. Put on the baby show! Do a little tapdance? Ballet time! Do the lamby bit from Gravity Falls? All sorts of options. For the adult-adult babies you could even have a pole!

Hah, thanks. I'm pretty big on weird transformative planeswalking adventures as it is, and I've been writing and building up my own lore, so I'm already in the right headspace for it. ^.^
I'm pretty interested in Crinkle Castle too, but it seems like there aren't a lot of DMs on the discord, or maybe they're just all locked in with their favorite players already? But worldbuilding and writing stories is something I can do solo. <3

Yeah it's not that different from the whole ten thousand subs when all you need is a dom problem of online roleplay in general.
I've been seeing more TTRPGs that are made for DM-less play though, so that all the players have to pull that cart together. A lot of solo TTRPGs too, somehow.

Heyo, just checking. I just re-read it after your 11/30/2025 update (that's today!). I see a pic of you TFed to diapercritter but I was sure you said you had added more paragraphs worth of content, and I don't see/notice anything different apart from the pic. Is it all properly there? Am I remembering wrong?
