zantedeschia was an alien coming to earth just to do some espionage against others of his kind residing here, when he ends up saving sherbert, just a typical earthling canine, and they end up fleeing together to lay low on some far away hidden uninhabited star system that nobody has any business stopping at. if they wait it out a couple weeks, zante will be able to bring sherb back to earth without running into the aliens who would have them both be dead. sherb can return to his normal life, and zante can continue his work in other star systems. but in the meantime, why not show sherb what life is like out in the wider galaxy? They've got time, good company, and a starship: what could go wrong?
