This woman introduced themselves as the Mayor, named Ariel. She is an older woman, in her 50's, and wasn't having it with STEEL.
She told us that after the Kin left, local resistance fell, and former strongholds were taken over by STEEL. Rather violently too. As this city housed the most STEEL defectors, many residents were rounded up and sent who knows where. STEEL doesn't take kindly to defectors, even of their cannon fodder. An example is often made of them.
As she says this while leading us through the city, we notice rundown & unoccupied homes and businesses all over.
