Snare is finally entering the ring!
After... Quite a long while, Snare is finally at a state that I believe he's playable and worthy enough to be shared.
If you already have Mugen setup and just want Snare's Character folder, you may download it here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QZ.....ew?usp=sharing
If you don't have mugen and just want to try out snare with a few other basic characters, you may download that here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AP.....ew?usp=sharing
Either way, I hope you enjoy what is here and look forward to future updates and other characters of mine I plan to add to this silly fighting engine.
Feel free to share this around if you wish, just be sure to link back to this post and such.
Also, be sure to read the 'Snare Breakdown' text file in his folder for a guide on how he controls. For a brief summary, he's basically a smash character. All of his moves are 'button' or 'button + direction'. That's it. No other motion inputs whatsoever.
Also, feel free to reach out with comments here or notes if you have questions about him or how he works.
If you do take the time to play with this, first of all, thank you. It really means a lot that you're at least wanting to try it out.
Second, do please give me feedback on what you think of Snare. Likes, dislikes, balance, what you might like to see in the future, anything.

huh, i remember this guy from barbftr. didn't expect to see him in mugen! damn fine character for a beta too!
as for things i think about him: lot of fun so far; hope he gets more options with his vore moves in the future. like a belly absorption counter move, or being able to move and attack with someone in his mouth, or being able to swallow a second opponent, or being able to absorb someone into his antenna. phenomenal work, man! ^^

Hehe. Thanks a bunch for all the high praise.
And thanks for taking the time to play with Snare~
I may be adding a few more things to him, though most of what I'm planning is smoothing him out and making him more fleshed out. Like color palettes, some custom hitsparks and an actual level 2 and 3 supers.

So, I don't have much experience with Mugen and Ikemen; I have been able to figure out how to mess around with the CNS/CMD files to get the characters to use certain moves more often and such. I did have one question, but if I'm just not understanding how to get it to work, that's okay.
For Snare's crouch jump, where he is supposed to have the tracking arm, how do you get that to activate? Do you need to be close to him and stand still, or is there something else you have to do? I mostly just have the other characters as AI and tweak the files to have them use the vore moves more often.

Holy cow, peak dropped out of nowhere!
Really like this squishy guy. They're cute~ Really like meter draining the opponent and then spending it all~
I'm curious how long they were in production. I really didn't expect em to have as many moves as they did.
Either way, looking forward to more of your work! Good stuff~

I've seen a couple of edits of vore characters that tackle endo scenes differently. There's a Lopunny edit by Endercreeper where upon grabbing/voring the opponent they're able to play a variety of animations depending on button presses, of course the opponent doesn't take any damage during the process, however you can press a button to KO them which leads to another animation of Lopunny simply just keeping them trapped within.
There was also a Toriel edit as well (by Vorse Raider if memory serves) that also had an endo edit. Basically the opponent still takes damage, however the KO animation is Toriel simply holding onto them after the fact. Anyway, point is there's a few different ways you could go about it if you really wanted to, the only limit being how good of a coder you are.

Always neat to see some more mugen-related content. I'll give them a bit of a test on Ikemen later to see how compatible they are with it (should be given Ikemen is more or less mugen 2.0 and most old characters work fine in it). I'm a little rusty since I haven't played around in Ikemen for a good while but I think I'll be able to give the character a good bit of experimenting at least.
