Speaking of the drawing itself first, I'm quite fond of the final result. Initially, I wanted to add some more stuff to it. But I think I have reached a point in my artistic journey and learned something. I've learned that at times, less can be more. Now, please do not mistake me for a minimalist defender. What I wanna get across is that, sometimes, a drawing is better off with fewer details. It gives it a sharper, cleaner feel. And you also avoid visual clusters. What's more, Atom has a very iconic design, so I think it's better to cover it up in pointless details. Additionally, I wanted to make it look more like the original animations from the '60s that were done in black and white.
Now, on another note, let this be a small tribute to Osamu Tezuka. Not only is he the de facto Forefather of Japanese animation and comic books, but he stands tall and proud as a very influential artistic figure. Whether you like it or not, the man's work went on to influence lots of people, especially mangakas. So, yeah, subjective tastes aside, let us put some respect on this man's name and never let his passion die out! Tezuka did not die when his body stopped functioning; he lives through us and through his work. The day his work is completely forgotten and we stop carrying on the torch of passion, yeah, that's when he dies for real. He, and every other creative person who gave us many wonderful things.
