Swallowing prey that weighs almost as much as she is requires some work. He's far too heavy to lift, so eventually Uvuzi lies on her side and stretches her jaws over him. Like an actual snake, swallowing large prey is a slow process right up until enough is inside for her swallowing muscles to get a grip. He's just about to where that will happen, at which point he will slide neatly into her lengthy stomach.
Despite the humanoid appearance of her upper half, practically all of Uvuzi's organs are down in her bigger snake half. This means her slender skunkette body can distend outrageously and allow her to swallow quite large prey, even if she's normally satisfied with something human sized.
