"Stop it!"
Akimere rolled over onto her back to swipe a forepaw up at Isumar. Her claws raked harmlessly through the heavy mane of fur that protected his throat and chest, doing very little to dissuade him from coming to stand triumphantly over her. She tried to snarl at him, but a giggle destroyed any illusion that she was being serious.
"Say it."
Isumar purred as he loomed over the slightly smaller female, trying to trap her between his forepaws. But she reacted quicker than he anticipated, rolling away before he could ensnare her in such a compromising position. The scent of dry hay and dust intensified as she crushed more of the dry grass stalks in her escape, a potent reminder of the season's rains that were late again.
"No!"
"You know you are going to give in eventually," Isumar said, his voice low in playful dominance. He pounced after her, letting out a surprised meep when he managed to catch her by the shoulders. She hissed and squirmed, but he pressed her down into the crackling dry grass, securing his pin on her.
"You cannot make me do it," she growled in mock defiance. She nipped up at his snout in a last-ditch effort to get him off her, giggling again when he responded with a playful growl and a nip of his own.
"Then I'll have to leave no stone unturned to get what I want, it seems," he said with an air of foreboding ill intent.
Akimere trilled in confusion when Isumar relinquished his pin unchallenged. But then she gasped in genuine worry as he grabbed her one hind paw. "Hey, that's cheating," she yelped, and tried to kick him. But while the claws of her free foot connected with his broad chest, the impact didn't seem to have much effect.
"You're going to say it!"
"Forget it!"
Isumar growled in mock annoyance and ran a claw along the hollow of her trapped hind paw. Akimere snorted and bit her lip to fight the rising laughter that threatened to bubble from her throat. She tried to kick her trapped foot loose, but he easily shrugged off her attempts to get free and tickled her again. She whimpered and squirmed, trying her best not to give in, but it was a losing struggle. When his talon grazed across the sensitive sole again, she could not contain herself any longer. Her laugh, sharp like shattering crystal, echoed off the nearby cliffs. She kicked at him again, trying to shake her trapped paw free, but Isumar held onto what little advantage he had.
"Ready to give in?" he asked, running his talon up and down the sensitive part of her hind paw. Akimere squirmed and laughed until her belly ached and her breath came in short, ragged breaths.
"Okay-okay!" Akimere yelped. "I give up!"
"Say it," Isumar said, purring with delight as he eased up on the tickling. Just enough to allow her a moment to catch her breath again.
"You win," Akimere conceded with an exhausted huff. She kicked her hind leg again, trying to dislodge the annoying male, but still to no avail.
"I win... WHAT?" Isumar said. He held up a talon again, wiggling his digit towards the sole of her hind paw, which he was still somehow holding on to. "I want you to say it aloud."
"Fine! We can get a Hawaiian Pizza!"
