so I stumbled on a golden girls themed cook book and dispite the fact I am gay, and of course did love the show was gonna pass till I noticed its themed around only 2 things... Cheesecake and cocktails... so thats like tailor made to hit all my interests and I clicked order (along with Danny Trejo's taco cookbook and an official redwall one)

It arrived and I cracked it open and my first sight was... not this drink but a cookies and cream cheesecake cupcake recipie that I am bringing to see my mom since I've got to make my standard cheesecake cupcakes as well for thanksgiving. then a banana pudding cheesecake finaly landing on this.

This is in the Dorthy section of the book, not sure what its in referance too but I happened to have the black sambuca and felt fuck it I haven't done a cocktail in a while (I also plan on making one called a salty Chihuhua for my mom so thats coming up)

so if you like liquorice and want to take the edge off with all your oldest freinds head on over to  ~faccc2 and share a drink


Vodka and Black Underwear

1 oz vodka (preferably a vanilla vodka)
1 oz black sambuca
a few drops of vanilla extract
1/8 tsp activated charcoal
2 thin lemons slices for garnish (optional)

1 fill your cocktail shaker with cracked Ice
2 add the spirits, charcoal. and extract
3 shake to mix and cool
4 strain out into a pair of chilled coops glasses
5 garnich with the lemon slices

the recipie was ment to be split but I doubled it and used a tumbler for myself

the sambuca is very strong but the vanilla nots cut the anise quite well, Its still the primary flavor but not as dissagreable. In the future I might add another 1/2 oz of the vodka and a little more of the vanilla extract but over all a good first showing
